Is Your Family Healthy

Maybe you have been considering making a lifestyle change for you and your family. You have realized that you don’t look and feel as good as you used too or your children seem to have turned into junk food junkies. As parents you can take action but you need to do it as a family and you must be a positive role model for your children. For some families getting healthy is a major lifestyle change. But that should not deter you from proceeding. You have much more control than you may think but it will take some discipline. You can turn off the TV and take the kids to the park or go for a walk. Limit the amount of video games your children play and encourage them to go out and kick the ball around. When it comes to cooking serve more vegetables and get back to the basics. Full Time Single Dad

Recent events have put me in a place of confusion. My ex-wife has informed me that she is moving away at the end of the month. Madalyn has 2 days left to spend with her mom until who knows when. She has not attempted to discuss visitation or how she is going to be part of Madalyn's life which really bothers me. Fear is really starting to kick in... How will I cope with my daughter's missing her mom? What should I do? Will I make both a great dad and mom?  When will I have time for adult interaction?  Is it wrong to want to re-marry so Madalyn can have a womanly influence in her life? These questions and many more are running through my head. I am in uncharted territory but then again isn't that is how most of life is.  Prayers are always welcome!

Come On Spring

I just say it is that time of the year again when I am anxious for spring time. I want to feel that warm sun on my face and get out and play. Madalyn is going to finish up her first year of Kindergarten and she is doing great. I bet first grade will be a shock for her, having to go all day long. Just think in another 4 years I can probably stop paying for child care.  It will be like getting a nice raise. :-)
